Anna-Lena Gould
Anna-Lena Gould is a dedicated Industrial/Organizational Psychology student at the University of Central Florida, where she is pursuing her Bachelor of Science, building on an Associate in Arts from Eastern Florida State College. During her time at Eastern Florida State College, Anna-Lena was appointed Secretary of the Genders & Sexualities Alliance, where she led DEI-focused initiatives to promote inclusivity across campus. Her academic journey at UCF is complemented by active involvement in research and student support initiatives, including her work as a Research Assistant in the Positive Psychology Lab and involvement in the college's Student Academic Resource Center. Anna-Lena’s expertise spans leadership, engagement and retention, performance measurement, strategic communications, and data analysis, with a strong focus on applying evidence-based strategies to enhance individual and organizational performance. In her professional experience, Anna-Lena has contributed to a range of educational and research initiatives. She has served as a Teaching Assistant in the UCF Psychology Department, where she fostered engagement, motivation, and retention in the classroom. As a Statistics Peer Tutor, she has led numerous individualized and group learning sessions, producing measurable improvements in academic performance while honing her skills in team-based facilitation, program evaluation, and instructional design. Her previous internship as an Elementary School Counselor in Germany further highlights her commitment to fostering growth and resilience across diverse populations. Beyond academics and research, Anna-Lena is passionate about continuous personal and professional development. She has completed leadership and coaching courses, contributed to organizational development projects, and actively engages with professional societies such as the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Omega Nu Lambda National Honor Society. Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys art and traveling. Set to graduate in August 2026, Anna-Lena is committed to leveraging her strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills to drive performance enhancement and meaningful impact within organizations and communities.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my commitment to supporting others, whether on an individual level or within a workplace setting. I believe that empowering and uplifting those around me creates an environment where everyone can thrive, including myself.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to go for it, even when I’m scared, and to view that fear as a form of excitement and opportunity for growth.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering my industry to take full advantage of every opportunity that comes their way and to explore different paths—never limit yourself to just one route.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field right now is learning to collaborate effectively with so many different teams, each with their own style and approach. This not only requires adaptability but also offers the chance to grow through diverse perspectives.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are growth, initiative, and ambition. These principles guide my decisions, shape my interactions, and drive me to continually improve.
