About Anna

Anna Quinn is a research strategist with over 20 years of experience. She currently works with Vibrant Health, a platform developed with the NIH for the All of Us Registry. Prior to this, she completed a two-year faculty contract position at the University of Hawaii in the Clinical Trials Office, where she helped rebuild their industry clinical trials program and supported the administrative infrastructure to open an early-phase clinical unit. This work brought research and treatment options to people across the Hawaiian Islands, Guam, and other territories, including serving as a sub-investigator in treatment trials. Quinn earned her undergraduate degrees in psychology and sociology from the University of Tennessee and her master's in public health from Thomas Jefferson University in 2011. She is also advanced certified in therapeutic yoga and works as a personal trainer. She attributes her success to her curiosity for making the healthy choice the easy choice and making health accessible. Quinn values listening, trusting, and strategy in her work, along with understanding, wisdom, and knowledge. She advises others not to let anyone dull their sparkle and to keep their passion, and encourages young women entering the field to trust themselves and not be afraid to take risks.

01What do you attribute your success to?

Curiosity for making the healthy choice the easy choice. Dropping around, making the healthy choice the easy choice. And making health accessible.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don't let anyone dull your sparkle. Which is really not really poetic or from the row or something, but yeah, you know, don't let anyone dull your sparkle. Keep your passion.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Trust yourself, and don't be afraid to take them.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The challenges are the lag between discovery and true implementation at the population level. Pros? We have the tools and technology if we can Create a strategy and apply them effectively, we can turn the ship. healthcare around.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Listening and trusting. And Strategy. I think those are my three words. Also understanding, wisdom, knowledge.
