Ten minutes with Anna
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being resilient and always wanting to learn more. Every experience is a learning opportunity, and difficulties teach us to work around challenges and improve.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't give up on your dreams. Even if the first job is different from expectations, keep pushing and learning as much as you can about the whole system, GL, financial statements, and processes. Be genuinely curious.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is understanding the technology side and AI integration. Growth opportunities require being able to use AI tools in addition to human judgment, with professional skepticism and critical thinking about outputs.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is most important - doing the right thing even when nobody's watching. This applies to internal controls in accounting. Also being honest with yourself.
