Her Story

About Anna

I am a victim advocate and program supervisor dedicated to serving one of the most underserved populations in our community—deaf and hard of hearing survivors of abuse. I have been with the Sego Lily Center for the Abused Deaf for nearly five years, where I currently serve as Executive Assistant and Victim Advocate, a role I stepped into in March 2026. Prior to that, I served as Program Supervisor and Victim Advocate for over three years, and before that as a Victim Advocate for over four years. Across these roles, I have worked both on-site in Utah and in a hybrid capacity, providing crisis intervention, advocacy, and support to deaf survivors navigating complex systems.

Before my work at Sego Lily, I spent over six years as an Independent Contractor for DoorDash, which gave me flexibility and taught me how to manage my time, energy, and resources independently. I also spent one year as a Senior Instructional Assistant at Downey Unified School District in Downey, California, where I supported students and teachers in an educational setting.

For nearly fifteen years, from 2006 to 2020, I worked as an Independent Associate with USANA Health Sciences, sharing wellness and nutrition products through my own business. I also spent one year as a Vocational Provider at Elite Community Services, L.L.C., helping individuals with disabilities develop job skills and find meaningful employment.

Across my career in advocacy, education, health and wellness, and direct service, one thing has remained constant: I show up for people who need someone in their corner. Whether I am advocating for a deaf survivor of abuse, supporting a student in a classroom, or helping someone build vocational skills, my work is about empowerment, compassion, and making sure no one has to face their hardest moments alone.
