Her Interview
Ten minutes with Anna
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the sacrifices and values instilled in me by my parents, who came to this country to create a better life for our family. Their resilience, determination, and commitment to opportunity have been a constant source of inspiration. I am motivated by the desire to pay that legacy forward to my children by setting an example of perseverance, growth, and purpose. Throughout my career, having a strong support system and a trusted professional network has been instrumental, as has been my ability to seek out roles and opportunities that challenged me, expanded my skills, and allowed me to continue growing both personally and professionally.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to learn the importance of saying no. My parents always emphasized that integrity is one of the most valuable qualities a person can have, and that protecting my reputation, staying true to my values, and remaining authentic should always guide my decisions. Throughout my career, I have learned that success is not just about pursuing every opportunity, but about making thoughtful choices that align with my principles and contribute to long-term growth.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is to embrace new opportunities and not be afraid to step outside of their comfort zones. Growth often comes from taking on new challenges, exploring unfamiliar paths, and being open to experiences that expand their skills and perspectives. Believe in your abilities, remain curious, and have the confidence to pursue opportunities that allow you to learn, grow, and advance in your career.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now involve navigating changes in where and how talent is sourced. Many professionals and organizations are considering relocation beyond traditional hubs like New York and New Jersey due to cost considerations and the need to access broader talent markets. At the same time, global opportunities continue to expand, creating exciting possibilities for growth and collaboration. However, these opportunities often require thoughtful decisions around relocation and balancing career advancement with family priorities.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, authenticity, and staying true to who I am. I believe that protecting my reputation and maintaining strong principles are essential to building trust and lasting relationships. Making decisions with honesty, consistency, and respect for my values has guided me throughout my career and continues to shape how I approach both professional and personal interactions.
