Anna Uhlin

I grew up in Stockholm, Sweden, and moved to the U.S. when I was 18 to attend college. During my early years in Sweden, I was chosen for several leadership camps and completed internships, including a marketing internship at Ericsson, a telecom company where my dad worked. I also walked into a newly opened Victoria's Secret store and convinced them to hire me for an internship even though they weren't hiring. In college, I got an internship with E&J Gallo Winery the summer before my senior year, and when it was over, they offered me a full-time role and asked what state I wanted to go to. I said I wanted to stay in Colorado, so they placed me with Breakthrough Beverage, their distributor partner here. I'm part of E&J Gallo's Sales Leadership Development Program (SLDP), which has three steps: sales rep, manager of people, and then moving into the winery. I started as a chain sales rep working with grocery stores and liquor stores, then moved into the on-premise world about 10 months ago, which was a significant step up in my career. Growing up as a figure skater my whole life taught me time management, dedication, and hard work, which I believe gave me foundational skills I've honed throughout my life. In college, I was president of Women in Business for about 2 years and also helped restart the sales club with a couple of friends after it died down during COVID. Now it has hundreds of members even though I've been out of school for 2 years.
