Her Interview

Ten minutes with Anna

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my family, especially my dad who taught me that people are your business and if your people are successful your business will be successful. Also the people who influenced me along the way, and the advice from a friend about making people feel good.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice was from my dad about people being your business, and from a friend: people won't remember what you said, but they will always remember how you make them feel. Also to be comfortable with uncomfortable when stepping into leadership.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be true to yourself, don't try to be anyone else. Just do it, try whatever you're interested in, and be consistent because consistency is the key.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Emotional intelligence is a big focus because we deal with people every day. Be able to understand where people come from, dig deeper, have sympathy, be open-minded, have patience, and meet people where they are.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My family who helped me become who I am today, kindness because you don't know people's stories so keep an open mind and listen, and influence to empower others.
