HR Manager

An organization is only as strong as its people and the systems that support them. For more than a decade, I have worked at the intersection of both, building operational infrastructure that allows teams to thrive while delivering measurable business results. Currently serving as HR Manager at CocoKids, I operate as a strategic partner and architect of organizational health - designing scalable frameworks, from digital SOP libraries to safety and compliance protocols, that reduce risk and strengthen leadership capacity. My path to HR was intentional, shaped by over ten years in the medical field, where caring for teams, ensuring training, and supporting wellbeing were central to my work. With a background in psychology, certifications as PHR and SHRM-CP, and credentials in wellness program management, I lead with empathy-first problem solving. I believe education is a powerful tool - not for titles, but for creating meaningful, people-centered workplaces where individuals can grow professionally and personally.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a deep commitment to learning and a fundamentally human‑oriented mindset. My desire for knowledge has always gone beyond credentials; it’s about equipping myself with the tools and perspective needed to support others effectively. At the core of everything I do is people - their wellbeing, growth, and ability to thrive professionally and personally. This purpose is my true driving force and the lens through which I approach every decision, system, and initiative I build.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My best career advice is to find the right mentor. One of my previous leaders, who became an important mentor to me, taught me how to navigate difficult situations in HR - how to stay human‑oriented while also keeping a clear, balanced perspective when making decisions that can meaningfully impact someone’s life. She shared what I call “tribal knowledge”: how things truly work within HR, within a specific organization, and under real‑world circumstances. This is the kind of knowledge you won’t find in textbooks - it’s gained through mentorship and lived experience.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering HR is this: always see the people you work for. Without that, the work loses its meaning. HR requires strong knowledge of labor law, compliance, and policy - but without a human‑oriented mindset, it becomes purely mechanical. As HR professionals, we must see the person behind the question. We need to understand the story, the context, and the reason a question is being asked in the first place. When we do, we’re not just providing answers - we’re truly supporting, guiding, and helping people. That, to me, is the true purpose of HR.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in HR right now is AI. I’m an enthusiastic adopter and have completed certifications to better understand how it works and how it can meaningfully support my role. AI is a powerful tool that can increase efficiency and provide valuable insights. However, it cannot see the person behind the question. As HR professionals, that responsibility remains ours. We must understand the context, the emotion, and the story behind each inquiry. When we do, we move beyond simply delivering answers - we’re able to truly support, guide, and help people. The real opportunity lies in using AI to enhance our work, not replace the human connection at the heart of HR.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me, both professionally and personally, are empathy, continuous learning, and purpose. I believe in seeing the person behind every situation and leading with compassion, while still making thoughtful, responsible decisions. Education and curiosity are essential to me - not for recognition, but because knowledge equips us to better support and empower others. Above all, I value using my skills and experience to make a positive, human‑centered impact. Everything I do is driven by the belief that when we genuinely care for people, meaningful and sustainable results follow.
