Annabelle Dear

I've been working in retail all my life, and it's truly been a passion of mine. Before Cavender's, I was working at a little boutique called Ginger Snaps in my hometown in Jackson, Mississippi. When I moved to Hattiesburg to attend the University of Southern Mississippi for college, I started working at Cavender's Boot City as a seasonal cashier with my friends. It was just a job that me and all my friends kind of started working together. I was in school for marketing and sales, and my boss at the time put me up as an assistant manager, and I absolutely fell in love with it. I applied for the store out here in Concord, North Carolina, and here I am three years later with my own store. We sell boots, hats, jeans, and Western wear. I got the store manager position before I finished school, but the school was really wonderful and worked with me so I could work online and live here while still completing school at Southern Miss, so it was a really great opportunity. I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Marketing in 2025. In the next five years, I'd love to continue working with Cavender's and move up to a district or regional manager and manage managers. I love managing my team, but I think it would be really cool in the future to be able to manage store managers that are running stores, and then manage district managers that are managing managers.
