Anne Powell Del Vecchio
I am a Real Estate Broker Associate with Coldwell Banker Realty in Ocean View, Delaware, providing boutique-style service to buyers and sellers throughout coastal Delaware and Maryland. With over 20 years of experience, I specialize in delivering knowledgeable, professional guidance tailored to each client’s unique goals. My background in finance and education from the University of Delaware strengthens my analytical approach, ensuring informed decisions and seamless transactions. I am committed to delivering exceptional service with integrity, expertise, and personal attention.
Beyond real estate, I am deeply invested in the communities I serve. I believe that strong neighborhoods are built through connection, generosity, and involvement. I actively volunteer my time supporting local initiatives and charitable causes, and I enjoy creating opportunities that bring people together—whether through community events, fundraising efforts, or simply connecting neighbors with trusted local resources.
Coastal living is more than my market—it’s my lifestyle. I cherish time near the water, gathering with friends and family, staying active, and embracing the vibrant coastal culture that makes this area so special. Helping others achieve their real estate goals isn’t just my profession; it’s a natural extension of my passion for home, community, and meaningful relationships.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to disciplined hard work, continuous learning, and a deep commitment to the people I serve. I make it a priority to stay informed by consistently reading business and market periodicals so I can anticipate trends and guide my clients with insight and confidence.
Equally important is my involvement in the communities I serve. Being engaged locally keeps me connected, informed, and invested in the long-term success of our area.
Most of all, I attribute my success to truly listening. I stay attuned to my clients’ needs and goals, and I approach every transaction as a strategic problem-solver. Challenges are inevitable in real estate — what matters is identifying solutions quickly, communicating clearly, and navigating each situation with professionalism and care.
My clients trust that I will work diligently, think critically, and advocate for them every step of the way — and that trust is the foundation of my success.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received came from three very meaningful influences in my life. An English professor once told me to follow my heart — to pursue work that genuinely inspires me and aligns with my values. That advice gave me the confidence to choose a path where relationships, service, and community truly matter.
My father offered equally impactful guidance: “If you’re going to do something, do it right.” That standard of excellence has shaped my work ethic. It means being prepared, being thorough, and never cutting corners — especially when others are trusting you with something as significant as their home or investment.
I’ve also been fortunate to be supported by a successful female business owner who modeled leadership, resilience, and generosity. She showed me the importance of not only building success, but also passing the torch — mentoring others, creating opportunities, and lifting people up along the way.
Together, those lessons have defined how I approach my career: lead with passion, work with excellence, and help others rise as you grow.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to a woman entering real estate is to lead with both heart and discipline. Commit to doing things the right way — stay informed, work hard, and continuously sharpen your expertise so your confidence is built on preparation. Listen closely to your clients and focus on providing thoughtful solutions, especially when challenges arise. And as you grow, seek strong mentors and remember to lift other women along the way
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in our industry right now is the tendency for real estate to become overly transactional. When the focus shifts solely to closing deals, the deeper responsibility we have to guide, advise, and protect our clients can be diminished.
Another challenge is a lack of true problem-solving. Markets shift, negotiations become complex, and no transaction is without obstacles. Clients need strategic advisors who anticipate issues and provide thoughtful, informed solutions — not just order-takers.
I also believe our industry is strongest when professionals are deeply involved in their communities. Real estate is inherently local. Agents who invest in the neighborhoods they serve — rather than simply working in them — bring greater insight, credibility, and long-term value.
Ultimately, the mindset matters. When professionals approach this business focused on giving — through service, education, and community engagement — rather than simply getting, everyone benefits. That perspective elevates both the client experience and the reputation of our industry as a whole.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty. Ethics. Hardwork. Being knowledgeable and being kind. Finding a field that you enjoy is also very important. Don't settle - allow yourself to dream knowing you are capable!
