About AnneSophie

AnneSophie Dorey is a seasoned professional in business development within the packaging and manufacturing industries, bringing 18 years of experience to her current role, which she assumed three months ago. Her career began with six years in welding equipment for plastics, where she built global distribution networks in collaboration with marketing teams. She then founded and operated her own company for 10 years, specializing in the sale and service of rotary die cutting equipment, before transitioning to business development manager positions handling microwave equipment for the food industry and labeling equipment. Educated in international business entirely in Europe, AnneSophie speaks four languages, French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese, which have aided her in navigating diverse cultural landscapes after relocating from France 17 years ago. She maintains active memberships in CEW and TLMI, enjoys contributing to mentorship programs, and attributes her accomplishments to determination and resilience, including successfully launching her company in a male-dominated field. AnneSophie values clear boundaries and work-life balance, advising others to voice opinions confidently and persist with patience while celebrating incremental achievements.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with AnneSophie

01What do you attribute your success to?

My success comes from determination and resilience. I'm not taking no for an answer most of the time. I like to push doors even if there are locks on them.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I've received is to never give up and to have patience. A sales coach taught me to be more focused, intentional, and patient with goals, celebrating small wins rather than focusing only on the biggest win right away.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't be afraid of voicing your opinion, to not be afraid to make your presence known in a room. Never stand in the back of the room or be in a corner or in the background. Always make yourself known.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

It's still early for me in this new industry, but I'm seeing lots of emerging brands in cosmetics and beauty, with a trend of producing in the U.S. for better supply chain control. AI is a topic but I don't see the big picture yet for cosmetics.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Having boundaries and work-life balance is very important. It's been a difficult lesson to learn, especially in higher positions, to know when to stop working, not treat everything like a fire, and give myself time to rest and reflect.
