About Annie
I have dedicated 33 years to education, beginning my teaching career in the Philippines where I was born and raised. After teaching there for 8 years, I moved to California and continued my professional journey through different grade levels. I started as an elementary school teacher, then moved to middle school, and now I teach 11th grade math, a position I've held for 2 years. My typical day runs from 8:15 in the morning to 3:15 in the afternoon with classes throughout the day and a 30-minute lunch break. I do my lesson planning on weekends and grading at night. One of my most notable achievements has been raising the CASP test scores for my 11th grade students by 11%. Beyond my classroom responsibilities, I also serve as a teacher mentor, working with new teachers who are just entering the field and helping them navigate their early years in education. I'm currently applying for a cohort to join the administrative team, looking to expand my impact in education leadership.
