Annie Feinberg

I've been working in marketing for about 7 years now, and I'm currently at Mars on the Greenies brand team, where I lead up the feline portion of the Greenies business. I came to Mars right out of grad school after getting my MBA in 2020. Before that, I kept hitting this ceiling in my career where I wasn't growing the way I wanted to, and the marketing jobs I had were only ever support roles to whatever was the main function of the business. I really wanted to be driving impact, making decisions, and setting strategies, not just making decks and selling materials for someone else to then go do the job. That's what led me to grad school, and that's where I discovered the field of brand management, which I wasn't aware of before. It felt like the perfect way to match my marketing skill set - like storytelling and distilling big ideas from lots of different data - with an actual function that is the critical business-driving function within an organization. Looking ahead, I'd love to be really leading a brand in its service to consumers, to help them live better lives, whether that's still here at Mars helping provide new pet food innovations to support the lives and health of dogs and cats, or somewhere else with a brand that can help people live better and live towards the lives they aspire to.
