Her Story
About Annie
Annie Valentine is a hospitality professional specializing in Airbnb hosting, interior design, and guest experience. Drawing on her background in boutique hotels, restaurants, and massage therapy, she brings a distinctive combination of hospitality expertise, creativity, and interpersonal skills to her work. In 2023, Annie partnered with her mother to transform rental properties in the Seattle area into a successful Airbnb venture, with the mother-daughter project officially launching in March 2023.
Within three months of launching the Airbnb, Valentine earned Airbnb Superhost status and Guest Favorite recognition, distinctions the property has continued to maintain. She has accumulated more than 130 guest reviews for the listing and oversees key aspects of the operation, including reservations, calendar management, guest communications, cleaner coordination, nightly rate optimization, and thoughtful amenities. Her strong attention to detail and eye for interior design enable her to create experiential spaces that are both welcoming and memorable, while her people skills help her anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
Valentine’s professional background also includes serving as a Guest Services Coordinator at Casia Lodge and an Innkeeper at Inn at Moonlight Beach, where she developed further expertise in guest relations, reservations, breakfast service, room preparation, and personalized hospitality. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Ethnic Studies from the University of Oregon and studied Massage Therapy at East West College of the Healing Arts. Looking toward the future, Annie is considering pursuing a master’s degree in hospitality management or exploring independent opportunities within travel and hospitality, with the goal of continuing to build meaningful, experience-driven hospitality ventures.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering my industry to recognize their inherent value and believe in the unique gifts and strengths they bring to the business world. Do not let others define your worth or limit what you believe you are capable of achieving. Be willing to take risks, learn through trial and error, and keep moving forward, even when you do not have all the answers.
