Her Story

About Annie

Annie Williams is a healthcare leader with more than 23 years of experience spanning laboratory operations, pathology, healthcare technology, and program management. After spending over a decade in hospital settings—including six years as a pathology technician and business analyst—she transitioned into her current role as Program Coordinator at Emerald Cares in February 2026. She leads onboarding, hiring, staff development, mentoring, team building, and HR administration while collaborating with clinicians, case managers, and families to coordinate care for medically complex individuals requiring ventilator and tracheostomy support. Her work is driven by a mission to help North Dakota families keep their loved ones close to home instead of seeking care in other states.

Throughout her career, Annie has built a reputation for combining operational leadership with strong analytical thinking. Her background in healthcare business analysis, laboratory information systems, and process improvement enables her to identify workflow gaps, improve efficiency, and strengthen patient care. Her attention to detail earned her a company safety award after identifying a critical issue that prevented a potential lawsuit. She continues to expand her expertise through business analysis training, an AI Consultant certification, and ongoing professional development with Udemy and LinkedIn Learning. Annie is also active in professional networking and community service through organizations including the Houston Millennials Professional Networking Group, the Alzheimer's committee, the Lupus Foundation, and as a mentor to new healthcare professionals.

Annie's career is a testament to resilience, faith, and continuous growth. After being laid off in Texas, she embraced an unexpected opportunity, relocating to Fargo as a single mother to create a better future for herself and her daughter. What began as a leap of faith became the career she had envisioned—a flexible leadership role where she could make a meaningful impact while balancing family life. Guided by honesty, compassion, teamwork, and service, Annie is passionate about improving healthcare systems, empowering others through mentorship, and using technology and innovation to create better outcomes for patients, families, and healthcare organizations.
