Q

What do you attribute your success to?

Earning my bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration later in life is one of my proudest accomplishments. It symbolizes perseverance, resilience, and my dedication to personal and professional growth while balancing the demands of full-time work. This experience has motivated me to continue learning, and I’m now exploring the possibility of pursuing my master’s degree. How do I approach leadership and team development? I believe in leading through inspiration rather than intimidation. My leadership approach centers on recognizing each individual’s potential, encouraging initiative, and fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and heard. My ultimate goal is to cultivate leaders who, in turn, inspire and uplift others.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don’t wait for someone to tell you it’s time to level up, seek opportunities, ask questions and take initiative. Who you know and how you treat people often matters as much as what you know. The workplace changes fast, those who can pivot with grace always stay valuable. Your word, work ethic, and attitude travel further than your title. Confidence and preparation open doors even before you think you’re ready.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be coachable, stay curious, and give your best every day. Hard work and a positive attitude will take you further than any title ever could. Seek out a mentor early in your career — someone who will challenge and guide you — and never be afraid to ask questions. Growth comes from curiosity, persistence, and the willingness to learn from every experience.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I see tremendous opportunity in stepping into higher leadership roles where I can continue mentoring others and influencing positive organizational culture. The challenge lies in ensuring that leadership remains rooted in empathy and integrity, even amid constant change. My goal is to build a legacy of compassion-driven leadership — one that prioritizes people, fosters growth, and inspires others to lead with heart and purpose.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In my role as an Assistant Director in healthcare administration, I lead with integrity, accountability, and compassion. While I can’t disclose my employer due to confidentiality, my focus remains on fostering effective leadership, driving performance improvement, and supporting the professional growth of my team. I value collaboration, respect, and continuous learning — principles that guide both my work and personal life as I strive to make a meaningful impact through service and empathy.
