Her Story
About Antonette
I am the Senior Office Assistant for the ESS department at our high school, going into my fifth year in the position. After losing my husband in 2019 and my house, I moved back to Phoenix and fell into education, where I also coach softball and flag football. My days are chaotic but rewarding as I manage aides, IEPs, METs, sub coverage, and support our ESS kids, often serving as the go-to person due to my longevity and relationships with students.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It is a struggle, but stick with it especially if you have a heart for kids. If you have a passion for kids and to be there for them, don't give up on them because they don't have that voice. We have to be those advocates and speak up for those kids, especially on the south side of Phoenix where many are in group homes without parents to speak for them.
