Antonia Sanchez

Antonia Sanchez is a creative workshop host and artist entrepreneur based in Oakland, California. For the past three years, she has been hosting creative workshops for adults that include team-building activities for local nonprofits and corporate teams, public classes open to the Bay Area community, and private smaller gatherings such as bachelorette parties and special celebrations. She began this work while teaching high school full-time by offering a once-a-month macrame workshop at a small plant store in Oakland, eventually leaving education after eight years to pursue her passion as a full-time artist and entrepreneur. Sanchez attributes her approach to her family lineage, noting that her grandfather ran a small food business in Santiago, Chile, which her father continued, instilling values of hospitality and care that merged with her mother's background as a teacher. She remains community-centered through partnerships with libraries for free workshops and donations to organizations including Crisis Support Services of Alameda County, Mujeres Unidas de Aguas, and relief efforts for the LA fires.
