Her Story
About Anya
Anya Labutina is a sustainable development consultant with over a decade of experience spanning sustainability strategy, ethical sourcing, sustainable supply chains, marketing, and business development. She originally helped small business vendors in the beauty and fashion sectors secure placements with larger retailers such as Nordstrom and Bergdorf Goodman. When the market shifted during COVID, she pivoted to consulting, assisting small brands with rebranding and sustainability practices without relying on large retailers. Currently, she is pursuing ESG certification to expand her work nationwide while focusing on a niche market of Eastern European companies in the Chicagoland area. In this role, she educates immigrant-owned businesses on sustainability requirements, helps them meet Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 standards, and supports ongoing compliance to renew contracts with larger corporations. Her educational background includes a double major in business management and marketing from DePaul University, from which she graduated in 2007, as well as attendance at DePaul University Law School, though she did not pursue a career in law. She is passionate about independent consulting that allows her to make a genuine environmental impact by working directly with smaller vendors.
