She is actively engaged in mentorship and community involvement, including supporting students and participating in philanthropic initiatives through her sorority and church. Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to strong mentors and leaders who have supported and challenged me throughout my career. Financial motivation has also played a role in driving my ambition. Most importantly, I have grown by asking questions, staying curious, and actively seeking opportunities to take on more responsibility whenever possible.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received came from a previous manager who encouraged me to pursue my MBA by asking, “what else are you going to do with your time?” That perspective helped me realize the importance of investing in myself and my future. He also gave me the confidence and responsibility to step into larger roles early in my career, which significantly shaped my professional growth.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice is to ask questions and never assume there are “dumb” questions. Being curious has helped me grow more than anything else. I would also encourage young women to actively seek out opportunities within their current roles—growth does not always require changing jobs, but rather recognizing and stepping into challenges where you are.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is limited upward mobility in highly specialized teams, where growth opportunities may be constrained by structure and size. At the same time, pursuing advanced education such as an MBA has been a major opportunity for me, expanding my professional network and opening doors to broader strategic and leadership roles.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me include financial security, strong mentorship, autonomy, and continuous curiosity. I also value being in environments where I am encouraged to take initiative, stay productive, and keep learning, rather than remaining stagnant or idle.
