April Brown

April Brown is a Human Resources Compliance Consultant based in the Greater St. Louis area with over 15 years of comprehensive experience in human resources, talent acquisition, employee relations, and compliance. She currently works as a Human Resources Business Compliance Consultant with Kasperek & Co. Accountants, where she advises leadership on HR strategy, develops and implements HR policies, and ensures organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. Her expertise spans full-cycle recruiting, HR audits, and the use of HR technologies such as ATS and HRIS platforms, including Workday, Taleo, iCIMS, and SuccessFactors.

Throughout her career, April has held progressive HR and recruitment roles across diverse industries, including accounting, industrial operations, food service, and commercial sales. She has served in positions such as Lead Recruiter II for Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, Talent Acquisition Specialist at Christy Industrial Holdings, and Senior Human Resources Generalist and Recruiter in multiple organizations. In these roles, she has led full-cycle recruitment, improved hiring efficiency, strengthened employee retention strategies, and supported benefits administration and employee relations initiatives for large and complex workforces.

April began her HR career in 2009 with Central Missouri Community Action, where she developed a strong foundation in recruiting and workforce support while serving an eight-county service area. She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Business/Commerce from Moberly Area Community College and is an active member of professional organizations such as SHRM and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. In addition to her consulting work, she is also launching her own resume consulting business, Resume Ready, reflecting her continued commitment to helping individuals and organizations succeed through effective talent alignment and career development.
