Her Story

About April

I am working for Adobe in the channel partner side of the marketing. The channel means that we're working with other companies, so we are specifically on the marketing side with B2B. We utilize the clients from other companies, for example, let's say, Dell clients, to expand the network of clients on the Adobe side. So we work with the book of business from Dell, for example, and we do the marketing with them to sell to the Dell clients Adobe products. So that's how we expand the Adobe business. A typical day involves meetings with partners, organizing events, webinars, email campaigns, landing page updates, marketing campaigns overall. I create graphics, approve them, send to partners, keep track of expenses, analyze metrics, manage budget and finance and funds.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with April

01What do you attribute your success to?

Staying focused on what I want despite being young and facing distractions like social media and comparing to others. Trusting the process and persistency, even when doubting a lot while working and studying simultaneously.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

If you're asked to do something at a certain level, try to do it at least 5 times better. Always do the extra step, like sending meeting summaries, being 100% accountable, and following up to ensure everything is correct.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Accountability at its peak. Take responsibility for everything that happens, even if not 100% on you, drive the car and make things happen.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

AI and complications getting everything on time, trying to stay ahead while delivering quality. Often catching up majority of the time.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty, loyalty, integrity, teamwork, trusting and respecting people, continuous learning especially with AI and technology, quality, adaptability, and responsibility. I tend to leave jobs where I cannot be honest.
