April Dotson

April Dotson holds a degree in marketing with an emphasis in retail management from Southern Miss. Her retail career began in high school and includes early roles at Taco Bell, Foot Locker, Benetton, Bath and Body Works where she entered management, Express, and McRae's. After a 16-year hiatus as a stay-at-home mom following her ex-husband's NBA career, she returned to retail at Gap, followed by positions at J.Crew, Bath and Body Works, Old Navy, Victoria's Secret, Armani Exchange where she handled money exchange duties, Marc Jacobs, SKIMS, and Coach. She also owned her own shoe store for a period. In her current role of nearly two years, April oversees daily floor operations, prepares the store for success by counting drawers, communicates KPIs and sales goals to the team, ensures product knowledge tasks are completed, and fosters an enjoyable work environment. She takes particular pride in the personal connections and lasting relationships she builds with customers, who often feel like old family friends, as well as her experience owning a shoe store.
