April Roth serves as an Account Executive in IT sales at E-plus. She has been in the industry for four and a half years, quickly advancing into enterprise accounts where she has achieved notable success, including securing a large data refresh project. Roth holds a bachelor's degree from North Texas and attributes her accomplishments to her experience as a single mother of three sons, which motivated her to work hard and refuse to let anyone outwork her. She finds fulfillment in solving customer problems and seeing solutions through procurement to implementation. Roth emphasizes being honest, trustworthy, and responsive with customers while cherishing those relationships. She advises women entering the male-dominated technology sales field to be confident, stick to their ground, speak up for themselves, and maintain thick skin without giving up easily. In her personal life, her sons remain her top priority, and she enjoys traveling and watching sports with them.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Being a single mom and having to provide for my boys motivated me to work hard and not let anyone outwork me. I just wasn't going to give up.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't take anything personal and don't let yesterday's failures into the next day. It's a new day, start over and don't look back. In sales you hear a lot of no's and deals fall through after months of work.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It's a male-dominated industry so be confident, stick your ground, speak up for yourself, and don't give up easily. You have to have thick skin or you'll get run over.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In work, being honest and trustworthy with customers, being responsive, and cherishing relationships. In personal life, my boys are my top priority and I love traveling with them and watching sports together.
