April Stoiber is a National Account Manager at Paper Tube Co., where she specializes in strategic account development across domestic and international markets within the packaging and manufacturing industries. With more than a decade of experience driving revenue growth and strengthening long-term customer partnerships, April manages multimillion-dollar accounts while leading full sales cycles, including prospecting, pricing strategy, forecasting, and contract negotiations. She partners with clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, taking an entrepreneurial and consultative approach to help businesses solve operational challenges while enhancing brand presentation through innovative packaging solutions.

April’s career began in retail management after college, where she discovered her passion for mentorship while working as a hiring manager supporting first-time employees and staying connected with them as they advanced professionally. One of those early hires later invited her to an open house at Akorn Pharmaceuticals, which led to a nearly decade-long career in pharmaceutical sales and account management. She started as an Inside Sales Account Manager, allowing her to maintain a structured schedule while raising her child as a single mother, and later advanced to Territory Account Manager, where she managed a $7–8 million multi-state territory and consistently exceeded revenue and quota targets.

After Akorn unexpectedly closed following nearly 10 years of service, April used the career transition to redefine her professional priorities, placing strong emphasis on organizational culture, long-term partnership, and purposeful career alignment. Since joining Paper Tube Co. in November 2023, she has been recognized as a top new business closer year over year and works cross-functionally with manufacturing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure operational stability and margin protection. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and remains passionate about mentorship, strategic sales leadership, and helping organizations scale through relationship-driven business solutions.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I think the fact that I have been able to elevate in every single one of my roles is probably pretty significant for me, and I have been able to kind of learn more to be able to continue to elevate in my roles. Throughout my career, things have kind of fallen into my path organically - I feel like God has kind of led me. When I was in retail management, I hired a lot of people for their first job, and I stuck with some of those people as they went to college, wrote recommendation letters, things like that. One of those early hires eventually connected me to Acorn Pharmaceuticals, where I spent nearly a decade growing from Inside Sales Account Manager to Territory Account Manager. Even when that company unexpectedly closed, I was able to recognize what I did and didn't want from a career in a way I couldn't have in my 20s or 30s. I realized that I have to want the job too - it's not just somebody wanting to choose me, I need to choose them as well. That perspective led me to Paper Tube Co, where the culture was very important to me, and I've been able to continue that pattern of growth and elevation.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't burn the candle at both ends. I tend to overextend myself - I always have - and as I get older, it is something that I am trying to very much work on, giving myself an end point. You can't let your career consume you. You do have to have your own life outside of that as well. At the end of the day, it's not life or death, so it's okay to have a stopping point, and to put your laptop away and enjoy your life.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I think helping people is the most rewarding part of what I do. The clients that I have, being able to help all of them in a different capacity - whether they're startups or Fortune 500 companies - that's what drives me. I enjoy being able to really help them kind of problem-solve. At Paper Tube, we do really consider ourselves an extension of their business. We're not just trying to be another vendor. I love to be able to really help them elevate and see what packaging can really do in terms of elevating their business and bringing in more revenue for them. And being able to help them problem-solve things that they may be having kind of a crisis in their own business that they can't think outside of, and I'm able to kind of bring that to ground level and help them problem-solve things. My clients, I guess, would be my favorite part, for sure. Culture is also very important to me - it was one of those things that I didn't realize was important to me until I didn't have it anymore.
