I attribute my success to a strong commitment to safety, continuous learning, and empowering others through training. With over 25 years of experience in dentistry and logistics, including 24 years at UPS, I have developed a deep understanding of operational excellence. In my current role as an operations supervisor, I focus on maintaining the highest standards of operational safety, providing thorough employee training including forklift operation, and driving continuous improvement to enhance overall logistics performance.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to ‘fake it until you make it.’ This taught me the importance of confidence, perseverance, and stepping into opportunities even before I felt fully ready, knowing that growth comes through experience and determination.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women entering my industry to embrace mentorship, uphold integrity, and confidently stand their ground in male-dominated work environments. Taking pride in supporting and empowering others not only strengthens your own career but also helps pave the way for future generations of women.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced and see in my field is the need to adapt and rebuild after unexpected changes. After being laid off from UPS, I had to start over and reestablish my career path. This experience taught me the value of resilience, staying focused on growth, and maintaining a positive outlook, turning challenges into opportunities for professional and personal development.
