April Thomas

April Thomas, M.Ed., CAS, EIS is an Educational Consultant, Developmental Evaluator, and early childhood systems specialist with extensive experience supporting children, families, and professionals within early intervention and educational settings. She currently serves children and families through Georgia’s Babies Can’t Wait program and is the founder of Colorful Therapy LLC, an education consulting practice focused on developmental assessments, caregiver coaching, and capacity-building for inclusive learning environments.

With a strong foundation in child development, evaluation, and service coordination, April specializes in translating data into meaningful, family-centered strategies that support communication, social-emotional growth, and school readiness. She collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and caregivers to ensure services are equitable, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with best practices.

April is passionate about empowering women, strengthening early childhood systems, and using creativity, clarity, and compassion to create lasting impact. Her work centers on advocacy, education equity, and helping families and professionals feel confident, informed, and supported as they nurture the next generation.
