02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is that success in a male-dominated industry is achievable through confidence, persistence, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. This advice has guided me throughout my banking career, where I have been recognized as a Top Banker and earned multiple Platinum Banker awards. These achievements have reinforced the value of hard work, resilience, and believing in your abilities.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to believe in their potential and never underestimate the impact they can make. It is possible to build a successful and fulfilling career while also giving back to your community. By remaining confident, embracing continuous learning, and striving for excellence, they can grow into strong leaders and thrive in any environment, including traditionally male-dominated industries. Success comes from perseverance, authenticity, and a commitment to making a difference both professionally and personally.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is continuing to advance and lead as a woman in a traditionally male-dominated industry, where representation and opportunities for women are still evolving. However, this challenge also presents a meaningful opportunity to break barriers, inspire future generations, and mentor other women pursuing leadership roles. By fostering inclusivity and championing diverse perspectives, we can help create a stronger, more balanced industry that benefits everyone.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide both my professional and personal life are hard work, integrity, and a commitment to making a positive impact in my community. I stay actively engaged in leadership and networking organizations, including the Women’s Business Impact Leadership Team at Comerica and ProVisors, where I have the opportunity to support and connect with other professionals.
Giving back is equally important to me, and I dedicate time to charitable initiatives through organizations such as Pledge to Humanity and Meals on Wheels. Outside of work and community service, I value maintaining a healthy balance in life. I enjoy traveling, shopping, wnd fitness which allow me to recharge, gain new perspectives, and bring renewed energy to both my career and volunteer efforts.
