About Ariana

Ariana Duverge serves as Operations Lead in Clinical Affairs within the medical device industry. With a decade of experience in biotech and clinical research, she leads efforts to build clinical programs from the ground up for early-stage companies, contributes to NIH-funded multicenter studies, and supports peer-reviewed publications. A 2016 graduate of Boston College with a degree in biology, she was pre-med as an undergraduate and now channels her curiosity into post-market research that explores new applications for FDA-approved devices. Ariana thrives at the intersection of science, medicine, engineering, and strategy, bringing diverse perspectives together to improve patient care. Outside her professional role, she remains engaged with her alma mater through the Boston College alumni chapter, where she participates in mentorship, panels, and pathway development for biology and chemistry students entering biotech. She also provides mentorship and research exposure opportunities at a charter school focused on science and engineering.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't wait until you feel completely qualified before raising your hand to answer a question that you might be totally wrong with your answer. Some of the biggest opportunities in my career came before I felt ready, and it was because I was never afraid of sharing my perspective. Science is very technical but also very creative. What made the difference wasn't having every answer, it was being willing to ask thoughtful questions, staying curious, and just keep learning. Excellence compounds over time. As a female in biotech and science, it's easy to lose sight of that because you are one of few. I've focused less on being the only minority or female and more on building a reputation for doing good work, treating people well, following through, and being curious. Those things open doors that talent alone often can't. Females are resourceful, good at finding holes and gaps and making something out of nothing. It's a superpower in science and biotech, so just not being afraid.
