Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to working hard and having a genuine heart for education, especially for children with special needs. I’m passionate about providing the extra love, support, and encouragement they need to adapt, grow, and develop the skills that set them up for lifelong success.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that you can do anything. Growing up with a sister who has autism and starting in this field at 17 taught me the importance of patience, heart, and dedication—qualities that are vital in supporting children with special needs.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women entering this field to have patience, persevere through challenges, and stay resilient. It’s equally important to take care of yourself while dedicating your energy to supporting others.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field right now is ensuring that every student receives the individualized support they need. Meeting each child’s unique needs requires creativity, patience, and adaptability, but it’s also incredibly rewarding to see them grow and succeed.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me most are devotion and balance. I stay committed to supporting the children and their families while also prioritizing my own well-being, so I can give my full energy and attention every day.
