01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

It is not easy, nothing in your college studies prepare you for what you will see or encounter in K-12 public education. They will never prepare you for the students that you will encounter, because they are all unique. You have to find great joy in working with children, really understanding what they need, and just be very careful because you as a person enter their lives and change the trajectory of their lives, so you have to be very careful of your own actions and knowing yourself and willing to learn and be very flexible.
