Her Story

About Ariyah

My career in the beauty industry began during my college years when I started making skincare ingredients from my dorm room. That early passion for creating beauty products inspired me to pursue formal training in aesthetics, and I became a licensed esthetician. This foundation launched my career in the beauty industry, where I've now been working for about 5 to 6 years. Today, my expertise is in operational management, where I manage a staff of well over 30 employees at a spa. My key responsibilities include balancing monthly and weekly budgets, handling ordering and brand connections, and maintaining strong relationships with our various vendors. One of my most notable professional achievements has been achieving a 4 to 5 star rating from a secret shopper at our spa. What continues to drive me in this field is my love for beauty and my passion for helping other people feel equally as beautiful.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

No matter what position you're in, there's always room for learning more. This advice has stayed with me throughout my career and reminds me to remain open and humble, regardless of where I am professionally. It's shaped how I approach my work and my growth in the beauty industry.

02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I believe strongly in synergy and understanding that different aspects need to come together in order to produce one optimal experience or outcome. For me, it's not about choosing one thing over another, but recognizing that everything is equally important and interconnected. I also value impact over recognition - it's really about the impact that you're making, not just the accolades. This philosophy guides both my professional approach to managing teams and operations, as well as my personal commitment to giving back to my community.
