Her Interview

Ten minutes with Arlette

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Work hard. Stay true to who you are, stay true to your goals. Stay focused, stay on course. Regardless of what might happen around you or what challenges you have to overcome, stay true to your goals. Keep pursuing and never give up.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be aware that obstacles may arise, especially if you're in a male-dominated field. Stick to who you are. Do not compromise in any way, shape, form, or fashion. Stick to your core values.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The economy is the biggest challenge right now. Trying to convince automotive owners to get into a new vehicle even though they're driving a vehicle with no warranty or cars with over 200,000 miles. Customers are very nervous because of the economy.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Family values are important. At work we consider ourselves more like a family. Integrity is of the utmost value, both at home and at work.
