Her Story
About Armine
I am an academic who has been in my field for about 25 years. I originally thought I would follow the regular academic track of becoming a professor and doing research, but I ended up being hired as an administrator and actually loved it. This put me on the career trajectory I'm at now as an administrator, with the bonus that I still get to teach. Being a first-generation college student and a refugee to this country, not even an immigrant, has shaped my journey in ways that aren't captured in my resume. My main area of expertise is educational administration, dramatic health education, training, and program development. My most notable professional achievement so far has been coaching several training programs, both in the United States and outside of the United States.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I never received career advice that stands out, but the career advice that I give to people is to follow your talents, not your passion. And if you're so lucky that your passion and your talent are the same, then just follow that, do that.
