Her Story

About Arpitha

I started off my career as an engineer with an engineering bachelor's and worked as a software developer for a couple of years. I pursued a master's in business administration to understand how businesses run and how technology bridges gaps. I then worked with Ernst & Young in consulting, gaining exposure to customer needs and technology strategy for Fortune 500 to startups. Ten years ago, I pivoted to industry and have been at Cerebrus, starting as an individual contributor and advancing to head of enterprise software and intelligence. I've worked with three startups, one acquired by Cisco, one going public, and Cerebrus now public.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Arpitha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I'm never happy with the way things are. I always feel there is an opportunity for us to make things better through constant process improvement, even when customers are satisfied, looking for the next stage of evolution.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't compare yourself with everybody else's journey. There is a gut feeling where you know which direction you want to go. Don't settle for the status quo. Take risk, experiment a few things. Be open to change and adapting to it, especially as women in tech.
