Johns Creek, GA 30097

Arsh Rizvi is the CEO and Co-Owner of Agate Home Care, a non-franchised home care agency serving the majority of counties in Georgia. Licensed in home care, Arsh started the business from scratch and has grown it from less than 10% of its current size into a thriving organization with over 100 employees. Her agency provides both skilled and non-skilled caregivers to support the aging and disabled population, with a particular focus on empowering women in caregiving roles. Arsh has cultivated a zero-violation agency that works closely with Medicaid and long-term care insurance, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance. Passionate about community service, Arsh has positioned Agate Home Care as more than just a business—it is a trusted community resource. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when many in the healthcare industry faced unprecedented challenges, she successfully led her team in continuing to serve vulnerable populations while expanding the agency’s reach. Her approach emphasizes empathy, education, and problem-solving, ensuring that clients and families receive the guidance and support they need during difficult times. Outside of her professional life, Arsh is a devoted mother of boys and enjoys traveling with her husband and children. She is an avid reader and is actively involved in community service, reflecting her commitment to helping others both professionally and personally. Through her leadership at Agate Home Care, Arsh continues to demonstrate how entrepreneurship, empathy, and dedication can create meaningful impact in the lives of those she serves.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the values my parents instilled in me—education, hard work, family, and community. Both came to the U.S. as students in the 1960s, and their example shaped how I approach life and work.

Now, as I care for my aging parents and mother-in-law, I draw on that same sense of empathy and responsibility. This allows me to connect deeply with others, navigate challenges thoughtfully, and remain solution-focused in what is often a highly emotional industry.

I am especially grateful for my husband, whose constant encouragement and belief in me have been a true foundation throughout this journey. As my partner and co-owner, his support has played an important role in helping me build and grow Agate Home Care into what it is today.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to come with a genuine passion for serving the community. This is a service-based field, not about quick profits—you are accountable for both your clients and your team. There will be challenges, from caregivers facing life disruptions to unexpected obstacles like transportation or scheduling issues, and often you will need to step in yourself to ensure clients are cared for. Success requires a willingness to roll up your sleeves, tackle problems head-on, and lead by example.
