About Artia
Artia Pollard brings a diversified professional background spanning the medical field, customer service, and marketing to her current focus on healthcare, nonprofit initiatives, and finance. She founded a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting fatherless and motherless children and is developing businesses that create supportive systems for individuals facing challenges in mental health, financial literacy, and personal growth. Drawing from her experiences as a working mother homeschooling three children while managing multiple jobs, Artia emphasizes the importance of faith in God as the foundation of her success and motivation. She values love, integrity, and morals in both her professional and personal life, and she encourages young women to follow their hearts, understanding that dreams may unfold over time, such as within five-year increments of continuous improvement. Artia sees opportunities in her underdog position with a broad knowledge base that allows for unique approaches, while addressing challenges like financial obstacles and others entering the field without genuine intent. Her goal is to build a family-like network of resources that empowers people to pursue their paths with heart and support.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Artia
01What do you attribute your success to?
My success comes from my faith in God. I don't know why I am the way I am or why I believe in people and can motivate myself and others, but I believe I'm here to do something better than what the world tells us we're here to do. My faith keeps me going even when I forget my why.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I received was from a boss who asked me what I see myself doing in 5 years. Those 5 years keep adding up but I'm still getting better every 5 years, and if he met me today he wouldn't be able to do nothing with me. It reminds me to keep growing.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell them to follow their heart because if it's on their heart and mind it's meant for them. Even if it doesn't happen today, be okay with your dreams happening 5 years from now because that's a promise to yourself.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is financial, especially with the way the world is today, and having to fight for your dreams. The field is infatuated with people doing it for the wrong reasons, just to make money without heart. The opportunity is being the underdog with a diversified portfolio and knowledge that others don't have, allowing a different angle and approach.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Love is one because love conquers all. Integrity, morals. If you love yourself and everyone else, your morals and integrity go in line with everything you do. I carry love, integrity, and morals inside and outside my house.
