Artisha Hall is a dedicated and accomplished Records Coordinator, Crime Analyst, and Compliance Officer with the Flint Police Department, where she has proudly served for over 29 years. Known for her ambitious and outgoing nature, Artisha combines professionalism, integrity, and a caring approach to her work, ensuring that every record, report, and data entry is handled with precision and purpose. Her expertise spans records management, crime analysis, MICR operations, and compliance, making her an invaluable resource for both her department and the community she serves. Throughout her career, Artisha has managed and resolved tens of thousands of open cases, understanding the critical role accurate records play in enabling access to education, employment, financial, and military opportunities. Her dedication and impact have led her to be invited as a guest speaker at the CJIC Conference, where she shared insights on how open cases affect communities and the importance of collaborative efforts across local, state, and judicial agencies. She approaches challenges with a problem-solving mindset, famously turning obstacles into opportunities to make a difference. A graduate of Davenport University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Artisha’s commitment to growth and excellence is evident in both her professional and personal endeavors. Beyond her role at the Flint Police Department, she has experience as a substitute teacher and has consistently championed the development of her colleagues through training and mentorship. What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women entering this industry to have a positive attitude, know their worth, think outside the box, ability to multitask and to read every document in it's entirety.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in my field was being invited as a guest speaker at the MSP-2025 CJIS Conference in Traverse City, as well as Training New Hires/Interns throughout my career. My biggest challenges are ensuring my voice is heard by the right people, fighting for equal pay that reflects my education, training and responsibilities.

The values most important to me in my work life are integrity, organization, and professionalism. My most important values in my personal life are family, health, growth and kindness.
