About Arya
I've been in the AI and machine learning field for close to 10 years, including my years studying and actively working on research. I studied for my bachelor's degree in India, where I first discovered this exciting new field and started doing my own research projects. Because I wanted to scale up and learn from experts in the industry, I went to Singapore for a couple of months during my studies and did an internship at NTU Singapore, the topmost research university, where I worked on machine learning projects that further strengthened my interest. After finishing my four years of undergrad, I was convinced I wanted to learn more and be more involved in machine learning, so I continued with a master's degree at UC San Diego. When I moved to San Diego, I ventured into AI in the biomedical domain and continued my research. After my master's, I started working full-time, first at a startup doing cutting-edge work in AI, and now I work at SAP in the research and innovation team where all my work is around developing and discovering new research areas in AI. Very recently, I published a paper in collaboration with Stanford University that's being published next month at the ICLR conference workshop, and I'm continuing my research with them to get another paper out hopefully by the end of this year. I've been working full-time for around two and a half years in my current position. This field is so exciting and keeps changing, so I have to stay updated with the newest trends and keep switching gears based on where the field is going.
