About Ashia
She is a dedicated child welfare and social services professional with over six years of experience in program management, clinical coordination, quality assurance, and dependency case management across Florida's child welfare system. Currently serving as Program Director at Camelot Community Care, she leads program operations and service delivery for children and families. She also holds a Research Fellowship with AdoptUSKids, contributing to research and initiatives that support adoption and foster care outcomes. Prior to these roles, she spent over two years at Embrace Families in progressively senior positions, including Intake and Placement Clinical Manager and Behavioral Health Coordinator, where she managed intake, placement, and behavioral health services for children in care. Her career also includes roles as Quality Assurance Manager and Program Manager at Children's Home Society of Florida, and Dependency Case Manager Supervisor at Community Partnership for Children. She holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bethune-Cookman University. She holds a Child Welfare Professional certification. She is recognized as a compassionate, results-oriented leader who is deeply committed to strengthening families, supporting children in care, and advancing the field of child welfare through practice and research.
