About Ashlee

I have an unconventional career path that has shaped who I am today. I came from retail once upon a time, transitioned into banking, and that's where I launched into licensing from there with a new company. I've been in the licensing field for almost 9 years now, which is hard to believe. I spent about 7 years in auto licensing before deciding to transition into a new field of licensing. I actually started a new career in the manufactured housing industry last June, so I'm coming up on almost a year in this new role. My typical day involves logging in, whether I'm home or in the office, looking through emails, and reviewing all of the licenses that we have nationwide throughout the week which are going to be getting renewed. I have to read statutes for different licenses that we'll be applying for, learning the regs from state by state and all the nuances, because every state does things a little bit differently. I make sure that we're in compliance, getting our salespeople set up, answering questions, and transitioning roles for different salespeople as they come in or as they leave. It's a lot of auditing, compliance, things of that nature. My most notable professional achievement has to be from my previous role, where I actually developed all of the processes that were created for that entire company. Before I had started there, there wasn't much in place, they were just kind of getting started on the up and up. That was my baby - it was a lot of trial and error, and just as I was learning things, I was setting up SOPs, working with other departments, making sure that overlap piece was good, and that everybody was happy with the processes, constantly tweaking them to make them better as anything arose. It's funny because now in my new role, it's something that I am also doing. This company is a lot more established with majority of their processes, but we're just looking to get things a little bit more concrete on this end.
