Ten minutes with Ashley
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Push until something happens. It's something that has always been taught to me by a co-worker that I've known for forever.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Always put yourself in their shoes. You have to remember once you are once them. Always remember to be kind because you have so many people that you encounter everyday students, staff, and you just never know what people are going through or what they're enduring.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges include helping students secure funding for graduation, such as when they have exceeded the max amount on their FAFSA.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Making sure all students feel like they're getting what they need and that I had an impact helping them graduate or get where they need to be. Family is everything.
