Her Story

About Ashley

Ashley Blair is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Tree of Life, Inc., a nonprofit organization she established in 2023 to empower and equip single mothers through Christ-centered mentorship, trauma-informed education, life skills development, coaching, and community partnerships. Drawing from her own experiences and years of ministry, she is passionate about helping women overcome barriers, strengthen their faith, and pursue personal and professional transformation. Through the nonprofit, she also integrates practical business, technology, and artificial intelligence training to expand career opportunities and long-term financial stability for the women she serves. In addition to leading The Tree of Life, Blair serves as Director of Connections at Christ Fellowship Church in Boynton Beach, where she has spent more than eight years in ministry leadership. Her professional background includes operations management, project management, leadership development, business consulting, and organizational strategy across nonprofit, ministry, construction, and real estate sectors. She is committed to building effective systems, cultivating strong teams, and helping organizations grow while remaining focused on serving people with excellence and compassion. Blair holds professional credentials including the Google AI Essentials Certification (Credential ID: OZPOCUIENIZJ), Leadership College Certification, certification as a Trauma and Mental Health Coach Specialist, and a Certified Minister. Although she attended Florida Atlantic University, she chose to pursue professional development through specialized certifications and ministry leadership. Recognized as an upcoming 2026 Influential Women honoree representing Wellington, Florida, she continues to advocate for faith-driven leadership, resilience, and breaking generational barriers while creating lasting impact in the lives of women, families, and communities.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Ashley

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute much of my success to the people who chose to invest in me during some of the most difficult seasons of my life. Mentors such as Pastors Bob and Amy Bender, Sharnell Jackson, Jess Laabs, Karen Dominguez, Pastor Marek and his wife Christine, Chevonie, Ivetta Prill, Dana Quinones, Mai Bui, Daniel J. and Karen, along with several trusted colleagues, provided encouragement, guidance, and practical support that helped shape both my personal growth and professional journey. Their willingness to walk alongside me reinforced the importance of surrounding myself with wise counsel, remaining teachable, and extending that same investment to others. A special and deep gratitude for my husband Jerome Blair who truly helped change the trajectory of my life by being a strong support in every way. My daughter Aaliyana for changing my perspective on life as a whole. Ultimately, God above all is my strength and foundation for guiding me through every part of my journey.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is to be intentional. I strive to approach every decision, relationship, and opportunity with purpose, ensuring that my work aligns with my values, mission, and long-term vision rather than simply reacting to circumstances.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice is to put God at the center of everything you do and remain true to the person you were uniquely created to be. Surround yourself with wise mentors and a supportive community that will encourage your growth, provide honest guidance, and help you stay grounded. Success comes from living authentically, remaining faithful to your purpose, and persevering with confidence through every season.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the greatest challenges is building the operational infrastructure needed to effectively run a nonprofit while working within limited financial resources. Balancing compassionate service with the organizational discipline required to manage operations, fundraising, staffing, and long-term sustainability requires continual focus. At the same time, I see tremendous opportunities to thoughtfully expand our programs, establish a permanent physical location to complement our digital services, and develop additional childcare resources that will allow us to better support single mothers and their families.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide both my work and personal life are living a passionate, Christ-centered life, serving others with integrity, and helping break generational barriers. I strive to add value to every person I encounter while creating opportunities that empower women and families to experience lasting transformation. My goal is to lead with faith, compassion, authenticity, and purpose so that others are encouraged to reach their God-given potential.
