About Ashley

Ashley Clemens serves as Regional Sales Manager in medical sales, a position she has held since December 2025. In this role she sells pediatric dental crowns to private practice owners and focuses on training offices while building community among colleagues and clients. Her career path includes prior experience in wine education and hospitality at wineries in Carmel by the Sea and Granite Bay, California, as well as education outreach where she worked as Assistant Director of Enrollment from 2017 to 2021. She attributes her professional success to taking risks by transitioning across fields and becoming adaptable in working with diverse people and environments. Ashley values community and collaboration, which she fosters through her work with small teams and dental professionals. One ongoing challenge she addresses is learning dental terminology and jargon to better support her clients.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Ashley

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think probably taking risks. If I never took a risk and tried a new field or a new type of job, I know sometimes that could look like job hopping, but I ultimately feel that working at different types of businesses, for both big companies, mom-and-pop companies, smaller organizations, I think that's really helped me be successful as a business person. I've been able to work with so many different types of people and kind of become a chameleon in that respect. That's probably why I'm good at sales, because I just kind of read the room a bit. I think it's just being able to take risks, work in new environments, kind of always sharpening that skill set of being able to work with different types of people, being adaptable.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Take risks on yourself and just always stay learning new things.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Right now, just really being able to speak in dental terms. I'm still learning the jargon and the lingo. I'm trying to focus on learning how to train private practice offices who want to start using our product, so closing that gap and becoming really affluent in medical terminology that I don't have the educational background in.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I think I value the most community. I like collaboration, and I feel like with this, because the company I work for is pretty small, and we are still able to kind of work really closely together with different departments. So I like creating a sense of community with my colleagues, but then also the dentists that use our product. That's pretty much what I'll be doing down there next week, is kind of meeting people, connecting them to new users or current users. I think it's the community and support is really what I value, and really what I want to focus mostly on.
