Owner and Consultant
CX Consulting Group
Estero, FL 33928

Ashley DeBoer is a marketing strategist, business owner, and consultant known for driving growth through brand transformation and customer experience. With eight years of professional experience, she co-owns Apex Painting Group alongside her husband, a residential and commercial contracting company in Southwest Florida. Originally founded by her husband a decade ago, the business underwent a full rebrand under Ashley’s leadership, resulting in significant growth in both profitability and team stability over the past two years. Her ability to combine operational insight with strategic marketing has helped position the company as a trusted and thriving organization in a competitive industry.

In addition to her work in construction, Ashley is the founder of a marketing and consulting firm where she serves in a fractional CMO capacity for a variety of businesses. She partners with organizations to elevate their brand presence, refine their marketing strategies, and strengthen internal and external relationships. Drawing from her earlier experience in the automotive industry—where she helped build and scale a dealership and launch an auto repair business—Ashley brings a unique perspective to industries that have traditionally struggled with public perception. She is passionate about helping companies showcase their people, culture, and value in a way that builds trust and long-term customer loyalty.

Ashley’s work is grounded in continuous growth, both professionally and academically. She holds an MBA and is currently completing her Doctorate in Business Administration, further strengthening her expertise in customer experience and business strategy. Beyond her professional roles, she is actively involved in her community, serving on the board of Habitat for Humanity and supporting organizations that empower others. Known for her energy, resilience, and commitment to excellence, Ashley continues to help businesses evolve by blending data-driven strategy with authentic human connection.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a strong commitment to education, persistence, and the willingness to make sacrifices in order to grow. Balancing advanced degrees while building and operating businesses has required discipline and focus, but it has also sharpened my ability to think strategically and lead effectively. I’ve also been fortunate to have strong mentors, especially my stepdad and my husband, who have challenged me, supported me, and pushed me to continuously raise my standards.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I’ve received has been to put myself in new and sometimes uncomfortable situations, because that’s where the most growth happens. My stepdad encouraged me early on to step outside my comfort zone, and my husband has always reinforced the importance of persistence—never giving up, even when things get difficult. Those lessons have shaped how I approach opportunities and challenges in my career.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say that it's not always the easiest road, but it's one of the most fulfilling that you'll do, and you have to have confidence in who you are and what you bring to the table, and to have a mindset of continuously improving is going to make all the difference, because life changes, maybe what your business offerings, they change, but you can definitely do it if you set your mind to it, and you just never back down, and you pivot, pivot as you go. My goal is to mentor people to feel empowered in their role and to also look at how they can improve professionally, but I always push them to improve personally so that they can flourish in all aspects of their life.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges is that industries like construction and automotive often carry outdated or negative perceptions. However, that also presents a major opportunity. By focusing on strong branding, authentic marketing, and elevating the customer experience, we can reshape how these industries are viewed. There is a real opportunity to build trust, strengthen relationships, and create more people-centered organizations through intentional strategy.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me most are confidence, continuous improvement, mentorship, and relationship-building. I believe in empowering others to grow and succeed, just as I’ve been supported throughout my own journey. Community involvement is also very important to me, and I strive to give back in meaningful ways. At the core of everything I do is a commitment to growth, connection, and making a positive impact.
