About Ashley
Committed to continuous learning, Ashley recently earned an AI Prompting Certification through the University of Utah and enjoys helping mortgage professionals use artificial intelligence to work more efficiently without losing the personal relationships that have always been at the heart of the mortgage industry.
Ashley is deeply grateful for the opportunities she's been given throughout her career and for the leaders who believed in her, especially during moments when she didn't fully believe in herself. Their encouragement shaped not only her career, but also the person she strives to be today. She considers it a privilege to support the Loan Officers and teams she works with every day, helping them build confidence, embrace growth, and achieve their goals.
After 24 years inside the mortgage industry, Ashley knows that success is built on more than production numbers. It's built on trust, relationships, consistency, and a willingness to keep learning. She believes the greatest impact comes from investing in others, sharing what you've learned, and celebrating their success along the way. That's the perspective she brings to every conversation and every strategy, and it's what continues to fuel her passion for helping mortgage professionals grow.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Ashley
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to curiosity, consistency, and genuinely caring about people.
I've never been someone who was satisfied with only knowing my own job. Throughout my career, I've always wanted to understand how the entire mortgage process works, which led me to explore different roles across operations, sales, and business development. Every position taught me something valuable, and together they've given me a perspective that's helped shape the professional I am today.
I also believe relationships matter. Whether I'm working with a first-time Loan Officer or one of our top producers, my goal is always the same: show up, listen, and find ways to help them succeed. When you consistently invest in other people's success, good things have a way of coming back to you.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't be afraid to raise your hand.
Some of the biggest opportunities in my career came because I was willing to step outside my comfort zone, volunteer for something new, or simply ask questions. Growth rarely happens when you're comfortable.
I've also learned that your career doesn't have to follow a straight line. Every role I've held has taught me something I still use today. At the time, I didn't always realize how those experiences would connect, but looking back, each one prepared me for the next.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be curious, ask questions, and don't be afraid to start at the beginning.
The mortgage industry offers so many different career paths, and every role has something valuable to teach you. Don't get so focused on chasing the next title that you miss the opportunity to build a strong foundation. The knowledge and relationships you develop early in your career will stay with you for years to come.
Also, don't underestimate your voice. Share your ideas, volunteer for projects that challenge you, and don't wait until you feel "ready" to pursue new opportunities. Confidence doesn't come before experience. It comes because of it.
Most importantly, remember that this is a relationship business. Technology will continue to evolve, but people will always want to work with someone they trust. Be authentic, lead with integrity, and never stop learning. Those qualities will take you farther than you can imagine.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Technology, especially AI, is creating one of the biggest opportunities our industry has seen in years.
The challenge isn't the technology itself. It's helping people feel confident enough to use it. Many professionals know AI can save time, improve consistency, and increase productivity, but they aren't sure where to start or how to use it responsibly.
I believe AI won't replace great mortgage professionals. It will amplify the people who embrace it while continuing to prioritize relationships and trust. The future belongs to those who combine technology with genuine human connection, and that's something I'm passionate about helping others do every day.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Authenticity, integrity, curiosity, and kindness.
I believe people can tell when you're genuinely invested in their success. I don't believe in pretending to have all the answers. I believe in listening, asking thoughtful questions, and finding solutions together.
I'm also a lifelong learner. The mortgage industry is constantly evolving, and I enjoy learning new skills, embracing new technology, and sharing what I discover with others. Growth is contagious, and one of the most rewarding parts of my career is helping someone else build confidence in themselves.
At the end of the day, I want people to know they can trust me. Whether it's a colleague, a Loan Officer, or a referral partner, I hope people walk away feeling supported, encouraged, and better than when we started the conversation.
