I hold a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education and Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Texas Tech University.
Across my career in higher education and student affairs, my work has been driven by a commitment to equity, access, and student success, particularly for first-generation college students and underrepresented populations. Whether I am leading university-wide initiatives, developing mentoring programs, or advocating for students, I bring a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep dedication to creating pathways to opportunity and success for all students. I am proud of the work I have done throughout my career and excited to continue advancing student success and institutional excellence at Texas Tech University.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Advocate for yourself, be seen in spaces, and amplify your voice even when it may not be the most popular opinion, especially when sharing vulnerable perspectives that need to be heard for the students we work with.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Navigating the current political environment to continue serving non-traditional and first-generation students from the K-12 system, connecting them to resources, and having dedicated staff and offices to support them as they face unique obstacles.
