Ashley N. Gonzalez
Ashley Gonzalez is a seasoned professional in the oil and gas industry with over 15 years of experience in specialty chemicals, managing technical operations, and strategic business development. As a Strategic Account Manager at TETRA Technologies, she oversees key customer partnerships and commercial strategies across their Energy Services and Industrial Chemical divisions.
Ashley brings a deep technical foundation across the production, midstream, and completion fluids value chain, supported by more than a decade of hands-on expertise in produced water treatment and solids management. Her basin experience includes primary work in the Eagle Ford and Haynesville, along with broader exposure in the Barnett, Permian, Bakken, and Marcellus.
Previously, she held leadership and technical roles at Halliburton and Nalco Champion, where she led cross-functional teams, coached junior chemists and technical professionals, and developed and executed chemical programs for complex production environments. She is particularly recognized for her ability to bridge technical insight with commercial strategy, enabling operators to enhance production reliability, reduce operating costs, and improve system performance.
Ashley holds a BS in Forensic Chemistry from Sam Houston State University (magna cum laude). Looking ahead, she is focused on advancing water management and desalination technologies for beneficial reuse.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received was to surround yourself with mentors who provide guidance and constructive feedback. Different mentors bring different perspectives, enabling growth not only in your technical or professional duties but also in interpersonal skills, communication, and how you relate to others.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise them to be open to new opportunities when they arise. You don’t need to know everything to be capable of handling a new role.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The most exciting opportunity in my field is the advancement of technologies that will establish the foundation for beneficial water reuse. The primary challenge is operating within a highly competitive landscape while driving innovation forward.
