Her Story
About Ashley
Ashley Granillo is a financial services leader currently serving as a Financial Center Manager for a major national financial institution, where she leads a team focused on delivering exceptional client experiences, operational excellence, and meaningful financial guidance. Beginning her career at just 18 years old, Granillo has spent nearly a decade building a reputation as a results-driven leader known for transforming underperforming operations, strengthening risk management, and developing high-performing teams.
Her career has been defined by earning opportunities through performance rather than tenure. From her early days as a teller to leadership roles overseeing complex financial center operations, she has consistently embraced challenging assignments that required strategic thinking, accountability, and a commitment to both clients and employees. Throughout her career, she has led teams through operational turnarounds, improved audit and risk performance, reduced financial losses, and cultivated cultures centered on integrity, accountability, and client advocacy.
Granillo’s leadership philosophy is rooted in service. She believes banking is about far more than transactions—it’s about helping individuals, families, and business owners make confident financial decisions that create long-term stability and opportunity. She is especially passionate about coaching and mentoring future leaders, empowering associates to recognize their potential while delivering exceptional experiences for every client.
A first-generation professional inspired by her mother’s resilience as a single immigrant, Granillo credits her success to determination, discipline, and the belief that hard work creates opportunity. Those values continue to guide both her leadership style and her commitment to giving back through financial education and community involvement.
As the financial industry continues to evolve, Granillo remains focused on balancing innovation with authentic human connection. She believes technology should enhance—not replace—the relationships that build trust, and that the most impactful leaders are those who develop people as intentionally as they deliver results.
Her advice to young women entering the financial industry is simple: Don’t wait until you feel qualified to pursue the opportunity. Growth happens when you’re willing to step into rooms that challenge you, trust your abilities, and let your work speak louder than your age.

Ten minutes with Ashley
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my mother, whose resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering work ethic have been the greatest influences in my life. As a single immigrant mother who spoke very little English, she worked 14- to 16-hour days without complaint, doing whatever it took to provide for our family and create opportunities for her children. Watching her face adversity with strength, humility, and determination taught me that success is earned through perseverance, gratitude, and an unwavering commitment to never give up. Those lessons continue to shape both my leadership style and the way I approach every challenge.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was that if I wanted to be successful, I needed to be the hardest-working person in the room. That advice has stayed with me throughout my career because success isn’t about talent alone—it’s about showing up consistently, embracing challenges, and putting in the work when no one is watching. I’ve learned that discipline, resilience, and a strong work ethic create opportunities that credentials alone cannot.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women to believe in themselves, even when they face doubt or resistance. There will be moments when you receive pushback or question your own abilities, but confidence often grows through experience. Don't let your age, background, or anyone else's opinion define what you're capable of achieving. Trust your potential, continue learning, and don't be afraid to step into opportunities before you feel completely ready.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in banking is balancing rapidly advancing technology with genuine human connection. While clients expect fast, convenient digital services, they also want trusted advisors who understand their financial goals and can provide personalized guidance. The opportunity lies in combining innovative technology with meaningful relationships to deliver an exceptional client experience.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Kindness and integrity are the values that guide everything I do. I am passionate about helping others, particularly by educating people so they can make informed financial decisions with confidence. Building trust through honesty, compassion, and service allows me to make a meaningful difference in both my professional and personal life.
