About Ashley

Ashley Greiner serves as a patient advocate and administrator of a heart failure and patient and caregiver support group, a role she has held for about 8 years. She has worked in patient advocacy for approximately 10 years after transitioning from her prior career as an attorney focused on disability law and insurance-related areas. Diagnosed with congestive heart failure at age 35, Greiner founded her support group to address the lack of resources and education available for younger women with the condition, which has grown into a worldwide community of over 4,000 members. She collaborates with the American Heart Association on their Go Red movement and is a member of the HeartMeets team. Greiner was named Regional 2026 Woman of Impact for the American Heart Association and serves as an ambassador for Abbott Technologies, speaking at conferences such as the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses. She also advocates for medical devices that have improved her quality of life and is working on writing a book while pursuing additional advocacy roles with companies like Zoll.
